Susan Diamond was born in Montgomery, Massachusetts in 1965, the 4th of 5 children from first-generation American born Polish and Russian immigrants, Joseph “Biff” Mihalski and Muriel Rosenthal.

It was her art teacher, Mrs. Shuman, who was the first to recognize “The Diamond’s” prolific talent and she nurtured this to the best of her ability. This gift helped Susan at the Boston School of Fashion. In her fashion illustrations, unprepared for her unique style to have its wings clipped by convention, Susan left and went travelling to Europe. She settled eventually in London where she met singer and club host Mark Charles. They fell in love and are still together to this day 25 years on.

Susan painted upstairs in The Sir Richard Steele pub in Chalk Farm, London. There, she produced the legendary “Susan Diamond’s All New Adoption Agency” that showed at Decima galleries in Bermondsey, London. Later, with Mark, they created the now cult fashion Glam Punk label, ‘Charles of London’. They went on to create the outrageous electro noise performance band, “Gobsausage”.

Now, with Susan’s first love, painting, back at the forefront of her creativity, she’s turning heads and creating quite a stir on the art scene. Susan sells her large acrylic canvases, oozing attitude with fluorescent paint, gold and silver’s punk Picasso spat alien figures and cityscapes onto willing canvas, spreading subliminal messages that adorn walls in galleries and homes alike.
